How did Wolfestone Group start?
Wolfestone is a UK company founded in 2006 by two entrepreneurs – one from Wales and one from Poland. Their intention was, and still is, to raise the standards of the language services industry, to be innovative in crafting solutions and ethical in dealing with all stakeholders.
Today, Wolfestone Group is an award-winning, full-service provider of professional language solutions that encompasses 4 companies.

The Wolfestone Group story
- 2006: Wolfestone Translation was founded.
- 2014: We launched a major sub-brand, VoiceBox, to offer dedicated voice over services for the multimedia, film and corporate sectors.
- 2017: We announced our acquisition of Robertson Languages International. In acquiring RLI, we added award-winning language training courses to our portfolio.
- 2020: We announced our acquisition of the language training company City Lingual. The deal broadened Wolfestone Group’s service offerings, which now encompass translation and localisation services, live captioning, multilingual voiceovers and subtitling, global language training and in-company language clubs.
- 2022: We launched in Germany as Wolfestone Deutschland.
Leading the industry
Wolfestone is an accredited member of the Association of Translation Companies (ATC), the European Union of Associations of Translation Companies (EUATC) and the American Translators Association, who insist on minimum levels of professionalism and quality. Our ATC membership number is W07 and Wolfestone has sat on the National Council of the organisation as Chair. Wolfestone also holds independently verified international standards ISO 17100:2015 and ISO 9001:2015.
