We’re celebrating here at Wolfestone as we have been shortlisted as national finalists in two categories in the Association of Translation Companies’ (ATC) 2016 Language Industry Summit Awards.
We are contending the Project Manager of the Year category, for which Magdalena Ciesliczka is shortlisted and the Sales Person of the Year Category, in which Business Development Manager Oliver Dugdale has been shortlisted.
They will learn if they have won when the results are announced during the gala awards dinner, which take place as part of the 40th anniversary ATC conference gala dinner on 22nd September 2016 at the QEII Conference Centre in London.
The Language Industry Summit Awards are designed to celebrate success in the sector, with nominees being recognised by the judges for their commitment to excellence.
Speaking about the prospect of walking off with a duo of awards, Wolfestone co-founder Roy Allkin said: ‘Having team members shortlisted for not one but two categories is a real honour. I’m very proud of all I have achieved during my career but there is nothing better than passing on your skills and helping to grow the next generation of skilled professionals and it is clear they are doing a fabulous job.
‘It feels very rewarding to know that the commitment of my team members has been recognised at the highest possible level by such a distinguished panel of judges and we will all look forward to hearing the results in September.’
This year’s judging panel comprises Rudy Tirry, President of the European Union of Associations of Translation Companies, Sarah Griffin-Mason, Chair of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting, Laura Brandon, Executive Director of the Globalization and Localization Association and Geoffrey Bowden, General Secretary for the ATC, who was the non-voting chair of the judging panel.
ATC General Secretary Geoffrey, said: “The nominations have been assessed using robust judging criteria to recognise the broad range of talent within the industry.
“With a focus on achievement; the judging criteria put an emphasis on the story behind the individuals that give so much to the industry; what they aim to achieve and what their success gives back to the profession. Wolfestone’s nominations certainly ticked many of the boxes for the judging panel.”
