Alex Parr Wins ‘Leadership in the Private Sector’ at Leading Wales Awards 2018

Wolfestone Holdings Managing Director recognised for outstanding leadership and strategic growth.

Wolfestone is proud to announce that Managing Director Alex Parr has been named winner of the Leadership in the Private Sector category at the Leading Wales Awards 2018.

Now in its 14th year, the Leading Wales Awards celebrate exceptional personal achievement and leadership across Wales. Categories span the private and public sectors, voluntary organisations and young leaders under 25.

Alex was shortlisted alongside some of Wales’ most inspiring private sector leaders — including Angharad Gwyn (Adra Cyf), Tracey Jones (Ferguson & Peter’s) and Katie Moss (Otium Partners). Her leadership of Wolfestone Holdings over the past year — marked by strategic growth, cultural transformation and team development — stood out to the judging panel.

Speaking after the ceremony, Alex said:

“I’m delighted — it’s a huge honour. The whole team has worked incredibly hard over the past three years, and the energy and enthusiasm they bring to Wolfestone is what makes us who we are. This award reflects the team as much as it does me.”

From fast-track to front-runner

Alex joined Wolfestone in 2013 as Sales Manager and was quickly recognised as a standout talent. She was selected for the company’s internal Fast Track Director programme and in 2016, became Managing Director — taking the helm of the newly formed Wolfestone Holdings Group.

Today, she leads a growing group that includes Wolfestone Translation, VoiceBox and Robertson Languages International, and is responsible for driving strategic direction and operational performance across all three brands.

Colleagues describe her as a natural leader — someone who combines positivity with accountability and leads by example in every challenge she faces.

Wolfestone Co-Founders Roy Allkin and Anna Bastek commented:

“Huge congratulations to Alex on this well-deserved recognition. She brings incredible vision, drive and clarity to everything she does. Her leadership has been instrumental to our growth, and we know the next chapter of our story will be shaped by her continued success.”

As well as Alex’s award, Wolfestone Holdings received a Highly Commended recognition in the Inspiring Great Leadership (Organisational) category — a further testament to the strength of its leadership culture.

Wolfestone would like to extend warm congratulations to all the winners and nominees at this year’s Leading Wales Awards and thanks the organisers for celebrating leadership that drives positive change.
