Face-to-Face Interpreting
Fully managed in-person interpreting with dedicated support
When communication is sensitive or complex, having a linguist be physically present can make a measurable difference.
Our fully managed service places experienced face-to-face interpreters directly in the room, enabling them to capture tone, non-verbal cues and body language, as well as resolve any ambiguity as conversations unfold.
Every assignment is supported by dedicated account and project management, from initial booking through to briefing and on-day coordination. You’ll also work with carefully vetted linguists with knowledge in your field, including legal, healthcare, public services and business.

Face-to-face interpreting built around your needs
Whether you are supporting patients, hosting international clients or delivering training to multilingual staff, we provide a structured service that is tailored to your requirements.
A natural way to communicate
In-person interpreting is frequently used in situations where a human touch is essential, such as legal proceedings, medical consultations, business discussions, site visits and business trips.
Your interpreter can follow the pace of the conversation, recognise non-verbal cues and support a natural exchange between participants. This can be particularly important when dealing with sensitive topics or when business decisions need to be made confidently.
Having a linguist on-site is also often preferred for sign language, including BSL interpreting, where visual communication plays a central role.
Managed delivery at every stage
You will be supported throughout the assignment by our responsive team. We handle interpreter selection, scheduling and logistics, including travel and any equipment required on-site. On the day itself, support remains available to ensure everything runs as planned.
Our role does not end with a single booking as we can work with you to establish a consistent approach to future assignments, whether that involves repeat sessions or remote delivery options.
Your interpreters and project managers can sign NDAs where required, and all work is supported by secure processes aligned with recognised information security standards such as ISO 27001.
Experienced, subject-matter specialists
Our interpreters bring experience across a wide range of languages and sectors, including legal aid, healthcare and commercial environments.
Linguists are selected and monitored through our in-house vendor management processes, ensuring consistent standards across assignments. We can maintain preferred interpreter lists for you, giving you consistency across repeat bookings and long-term projects.
Many of our linguists are also members of recognised professional bodies, such as ITI, NRPSI and CIOL.
How our face-to-face interpreting service works:
We follow a structured approach to help you arrange face-to-face interpreting with confidence.
1. Understanding your requirements
We begin by discussing your requirements, which allows us to recommend the most suitable interpreter and identify any specific considerations. In some cases, we may recommend another interpreting method.
2. Interpreter selection
Your dedicated project manager selects a linguist with the right experience for your assignment, with your approval. We then coordinate availability, travel and scheduling, as well as ensuring your chosen interpreter(s) is fully prepared ahead of time.
We support assignments across the UK, with international projects accommodated for where possible. Urgent requests can often be arranged, but we highly recommend booking in advance to secure the best match and allow for full planning.
3. Logistics and equipment support
If your assignment requires on-site equipment, we will talk you through the available options and help organise what is needed.
4. On-site interpreting delivery
On the day, your interpreter(s) works within your setting to facilitate clear communication.
Your Wolfestone team remains available to assist with any practical or last-minute requirements to make certain your project runs smoothly.
5. Ongoing support and future planning
Following your assignment, we can provide assistance across future bookings, maintain a preferred linguist list and help you plan ahead.
We can also assist with remote interpreting delivery and provide access to our wider range of language services, from translation to transcription.
