Alex Parr, Managing Director of Wolfestone, has been shortlisted for the Leadership in the Private Sector category at the Leading Wales Awards 2018.
Alex joins a shortlist of exceptional leaders, including Angharad Gwyn (Adra Cyf), Tracey Jones (Ferguson & Peter’s), and Katie Moss (Otium Partners).
Her inclusion acknowledges not just her individual contribution, but also the results she has delivered while leading Wolfestone Holdings, which includes Wolfestone, VoiceBox, and Robertson Languages International.
Under Alex’s leadership, Wolfestone has also been recognised in the Inspiring Great Leadership (Organisational) category, receiving a Highly Commended status from judges.
Reflecting on the nomination, Alex said:
“I’m absolutely delighted and humbled to be shortlisted. It’s a wonderful moment personally, but more than anything, it reflects the dedication and passion of our teams at Wolfestone, VoiceBox and Robertson Languages. Together, we’ve built an environment where growth and innovation can thrive — and my job is to keep moving us forward.”
A year of strategic milestones
The past year has marked a turning point for Wolfestone Holdings. In December 2017, the company completed the acquisition of Robertson Languages International — a well-respected business language training provider — in line with its long-term strategy to grow through acquisition.
This move brought together three specialist brands under one group, offering a broader and more integrated suite of language services for global clients. It also marked a period of record-breaking growth across the Group.
Alex commented:
“Completing our first acquisition was a huge milestone — and one we’d been working toward for some time. With Robertson, we found a like-minded company with a brilliant team. Bringing them into the Group has strengthened our offering and laid a solid foundation for the future.”
