Wolfestone, a leading provider of language services, is proud to be named a finalist in the 2011 Fast Growth 50 Awards. Ranking 14th overall out of more than 200,000 businesses in Wales, Wolfestone is also named runner-up in the Business-to-Business Services category.
The Fast Growth 50 project, founded by the University of Wales in 1999, is widely recognised as a benchmark for entrepreneurial success in Wales. Each year, it identifies the top 50 fastest-growing firms across the country, a list that reflects the drive, innovation and resilience within the Welsh business community.
To be ranked among these top performers is no small feat.
At the time, fast-growing firms represented just 6% of UK businesses with ten or more employees, yet accounted for over half of all job creation. In the previous year alone, the 50 companies on the list created 1,400 jobs and collectively increased their turnover by £305 million – all during one of the most challenging economic periods since the 1920s.
Wolfestone earns its place in the rankings based on impressive revenue growth between 2008 and 2010. This success underlines the strength of the company’s language services offering, particularly within the B2B sector, and reflects a strong commitment to quality, innovation and customer service.
The awards ceremony takes place in Cardiff on 16 September 2011, where Wales’ most dynamic businesses are celebrated for their contributions to the economy.
Wolfestone Director Roy Allkin comments:
“The Fast Growth 50 has become an important indicator of entrepreneurial success in Wales, and we’re delighted to be included. This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our team, and we’re excited to build on this momentum in the year ahead.”
As Wales faces ongoing economic challenges, it is businesses like Wolfestone – driven, ambitious and growth-focused – that are helping to shape a resilient and innovative future for the Welsh economy.
