On Tuesday 6th February, Wolfestone were announced winners of the Scale-Up Business of the Year at the Welsh regional FSB Awards.
The FSB Awards are designed to spotlight and celebrate the best in British business for small and medium-sized companies. The Scale-Up Business of the Year category looks at companies who have demonstrated extraordinary entrepreneurial spirit which has correlated to impressive growth for the company.
Wolfestone were nominated for the award alongside some tough competition, including Net World Sports, Newbolds and Little Inspirations, but it was the multi-award-winning language service provider that were announced as winners at a glitzy awards ceremony hosted by ITV Wales’ Andrea Byrne.
Alex Parr, Managing Director of Wolfestone said: “
This is a terrific award for us to win. To be recognised and celebrated for our success so far as a business is amazing, but it was also a great chance for us to meet and network with other Welsh businesses who are doing some magnificent work.”
FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) is a British organisation set up to provide advice and guidance to some of the United Kingdom’s 5.5 million small and medium-sized businesses. The awards first take place at the regional level, made up of 11 regions across the United Kingdom, which then culminates in the grand final at Westminster Park Plaza, London on 3
rd May.
Janet Jones, FSB Wales Policy Chair, said: “
Congratulations to everyone at Wolfestone! Wolfestone represent a thriving Welsh business not just with a strong track record of growth and experience, but big plans for the future, too. I wish them all the best at the UK FSB Awards.”
Winning the Scale-Up Business of the Year award is a great chance for all members of the Wolfestone team to celebrate the hard work and effort put in to achieving this award. However, the company is not resting on its laurels. At the beginning of 2018, the Wolfestone Group
announced its acquisition of Reading-based translation company, Robertson Languages International.
Alex Parr continues:
“It’s a very exciting time to be working for Wolfestone. With the acquisition of Robertson, we get the chance to not only expand the presence of our company but can also offer another service in language learning. Coupling this with winning awards like FSB’s Scale-Up Business of the Year will help massively in sharing the word about the great work Wolfestone do.”
