Wolfestone Expands into Middle East Market with Dubai Trade Mission

Participation in Welsh Government delegation supports global growth strategy and builds regional relationships.

Wolfestone has taken a proactive step in growing its international client base by participating in the Welsh Government’s 2017 Dubai Trade Mission.

Represented by Business Development Manager Alex Griffin, the visit forms part of Wolfestone’s ongoing global expansion strategy, with a particular focus on emerging and high-growth markets.

Dubai – a thriving business centre with over 200 nationalities living and working in the region – presents significant opportunities for multilingual communication services. From global compliance requirements to localisation of marketing and digital assets, Wolfestone’s bespoke language solutions are a strong fit for this dynamic market.

A key highlight of the trip is a visit to Gulfood 2017 – the Middle East’s largest food and beverage trade show. With exhibitors from around the globe, the event provides a valuable platform to connect with businesses seeking high-quality translation support.

Alex Griffin comments:

“The Gulfood exhibition was a fantastic opportunity for us. We saw strong interest in our website and document translation services, particularly in relation to brand engagement and local compliance. It’s clear there’s a growing demand for accurate, culturally aware communication.”

Networking at the British Embassy

As part of the Trade Mission, Wolfestone is also invited to attend the St. David’s Day celebration at the British Embassy in Dubai – an evening that blends networking with culture and culinary flair.

The event features an hour-long performance by two acclaimed singers from the Welsh National Opera, followed by a live cooking demonstration by world-renowned chef Gary Rhodes. With Welsh ingredients flown in specially – including premium Welsh Lamb – the evening showcases the best of Wales to an international audience of over 300 guests.

Alex adds:

“It was a brilliant evening – great food, great music, and even better conversations. The relaxed setting made it ideal for building relationships and reinforcing Wales’ international business presence.”

Wolfestone would like to thank the Welsh Government Trade Mission team for the opportunity to be part of such a successful initiative, and looks forward to further engagement in the region.
