Wolfestone Wins ‘Business Services Business of the Year’ at South Wales Business Awards 2008

Celebrating resilience and excellence during challenging economic times.

Wolfestone, founded by directors Roy Allkin and Anna Bastek, triumphed at the South Wales Business Awards held at The Bear Hotel, Cowbridge, on 15th October 2008.

Despite one of the toughest economic climates in decades, Wolfestone’s outstanding commercial achievements earned the company top honours, winning the prestigious “Business Services Business of the Year” award. The event was sponsored by Cardiff Business Life, the University of Glamorgan, Careers Wales and other prominent organisations.

Wolfestone stood out among strong competition from across South Wales after multiple rounds of rigorous judging. Evaluation criteria included client relationship management, staff policies and attitudes, sales and marketing effectiveness, outstanding results, challenges overcome, plans and community and charity engagement.

Renowned for delivering exceptional language services to clients worldwide, Wolfestone’s success reflects its commitment to innovation and customer service excellence.

Roy Allkin said:
“We are proud to receive such a prestigious award. This recognition highlights Wolfestone’s innovation, strong business acumen, and dedication to languages and communication. It also honours the hard work and passion of our entire team. We are incredibly proud of our achievements and the talented people at Wolfestone Translation.”

Beyond translation and interpreting, Wolfestone has expanded its portfolio to include subtitling, transcription, and specialist proofreading among other language services.

Additionally, Wolfestone was a finalist in the UK final of the FSB British Small Business Champions Awards in the Most Promising New Business category, with the UK final held in November 2008 in London — one success down, and one to go.
