Wolfestone Co-founder Roy Allkin Shares Insights on the Future of the Language Industry at Samvād 2026

Wolfestone Group co-founder Roy Allkin speaks at Samvād 2026, South Asia’s premier summit for the language and AI-driven content ecosystem, hosted by CITLoB in Mumbai.

Roy Allkin, Co-founder of Wolfestone Group, has shared his perspective on the future of the language industry at Samvād 2026, the CITLoB (Confederation of Interpreting, Translation and Localisation Businesses) Conference, held in Mumbai on 26 October.

Roy joined the event remotely and contributed to discussions on the changes and opportunities facing the global language services sector.

Samvād brings together professionals from across the language, localisation, translation and AI. This year’s conference gave industry voices a platform to consider how technological developments are changing how multilingual content is produced and delivered.

Speaking on The Future of the Language Industry, Roy's presentation explored how AI is changing the translation sector and what this means for the industry. He highlighted the value of specialist knowledge and taking responsibility for the quality of the final work as technology continues to develop.

Commenting on his contribution, Roy Allkin, Co-founder of Wolfestone Group, said:

“Having founded Wolfestone in 2006, I’ve seen the language industry change considerably, with AI accelerating that shift. I believe the key is to adapt to new technology while continuing to deliver the expertise clients expect. Understanding each client and their industry will remain essential, whatever changes lie ahead.

I’m looking forward to seeing how the industry develops and how we embrace the opportunities that come with it.”
